Over the years I've managed a busy household of seven, moved more times than I can count, helped my mum downsize into a new chapter of life, and supported family and friends through the emotional task of clearing the homes of loved ones after they had passed away.

Those experiences taught me something that goes far beyond organising. I learnt that clutter is rarely just about "stuff". It's about memories, emotions (sometimes trauma), life changes, difficult decisions and sometimes simply trying to keep up when life has become overwhelming.

That's why Empatia Home Edit isn't about creating perfect homes or asking you to throw everything away. It's about creating a home that supports you.

A home that feels calmer, is easier to live in, and a home that gives you a little more breathing room, so you can find peace and enjoy the moments that matter.

My approach

sustainability

we use what you have first

no fancy tubs etc unless that's what you want

goal is not aesthetics but you will see that things look better and you usually get the bug for it

These days, like many women, I'm navigating the merry mid life and all the changes that brings. My life experiences have given me an even greater appreciation for homes that are practical, functional and gentle to live in. I understand that some days even the smallest tasks can feel enormous, and that's one of the reasons I approach every client with patience, kindness and without judgement.

People often tell me I'm calm, easy to talk to and genuinely caring. I have a good sense of humour, I laugh often, and if I'm honest, I probably have a little too much empathy sometimes - but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I believe everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and understanding and to feel comfortable in their own home, regardless of where they live and where they're starting.

Fun facts about me

I'm always happiest when I'm creating.

I love painting (currently learning watercolour), giving forgotten furniture a second life, tackling DIY projects, exploring beautiful interiors and discovering thoughtful design that makes everyday living just a little easier.

I volunteer at a Lifeline retail store, creating displays (which I love), but also spend countless hours organising the bric-a-brac section. This work has become my happy place and has taught me so much about repurposing and reducing waste.

I'm a lifelong animal lover, and have recently bought a small piece of land, with a dream of turning it into a hobby farm with a little farm shop!

Why empathy matters

Someone standing in front of a wardrobe they've avoided for years.

A daughter sorting through her mum's belongings after she's passed away.

Or someone who's downsizing after thirty years in the same home.

They're not just choosing what to keep.

They're processing memories, identity, guilt, hope, and change.

My role is to create an environment where those decisions feel manageable.
